8 candle care tips to ensure you get the best out of your candles

Burn a candle for the first time
When lighting your AROMA and FABULA candle for the first time, please burn for 3-4 hours to allow the wax to melt across the entire surface diameter of the container. This will create an even burn pool across the entire candle and will also help prolong the life of your candle.

Before burning
Trim candle wicks to 5mm each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning and dripping.

Avoid flammable materials
Be sure the candle is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This can help prevent heat damage to underlying surfaces and prevent glass containers from breaking. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from any flammable materials.

Avoid draft
Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents. This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting.

Burning time
Don't burn a candle longer than 4 hours at a time.

Cleaning
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

Troubleshooting
Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high. The candle isn't burning properly. Cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting.

Safety tips
Never touch or move a burning candle or container candle when the wax is liquid. Always keep a burning candle within sight. Extinguish all candles when leaving a room. Be sure the wick ember is no longer glowing. Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets. Never leave your candle unattended.
